Yes, it’s that old issue once again!
It’s a perennial issue that arises on social media, as predictable as the comics vs artists debate, only far more annoying. Legions of fans and comic store owners lament the price of modern comics and wish they were cheaper, like they were in the good old days of yore.
Although they are remarkably reticent about when those days were.
The simple fact is that inflation drives prices higher over time, so comparing a $2.99 cover price from the silver age to the price of comics today is simply an unfair comparison.
But, seeing as I want to really understand this in more detail, I decided to dig into the data and see for myself.
