Hi folks,
Just a short one this week, while I catch up on life stuff.
I was going to take the week off, but a random conversation with people on Threads led to a discussion about Space: Above and Beyond.
If you’ve never seen it, it’s a sci-fi adventure series created by Glen Morgan and James Wong (who you probably know from a bunch of different films and shows) which only lasted one season back in 1996.
You can now watch the entire series online, including at the YouTube link below.
I’m a huge sci-fi fan, and was both excited and frustrated by this show, and wished it had been given more time to figure itself out. It’s definitely a little dated from our 2024 vantage point, but there’s still some amazing writing and filmmaking to enjoy in this solitary season.
Did you watch this show? What did you think? Let me know in the comments.
Until next week, take care.
Cheers
John
A great show with the absolute worst cliffhanger series conclusion. But I’m not bitter. 😂
